Laurens von Oswald and Harry Glass are the co-founders and directors of Outer GmbH, a Berlin-based company operating across International festival direction, artist management, booking, commissioning, experiential cultural production, and venue programming. Through their work together they have developed an approach that consistently operates across disciplines and refuses fixed formats – building structures that allow environments of art, music and performance to exist on their own terms, at their own scale and duration. Berlin Atonal and its affiliated projects are emblematic of this: a platform that strives to continually redefine what a festival can be and what it can ask of an audience. Their first formal collaboration with Unsound, the 30-hour event Infinite Now at Kraftwerk Berlin, took place earlier this year to critical acclaim.
